Lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi, who was brutally raped by three people, has been intubated for five days, due to his serious health condition. According to information from the Trauma hospital, where the lawyer is located, it is known that he is being kept under intensive monitoring and is expected today to see his reaction.
Despite the fact that the Prosecutor's Office changed the charge for the prisoners, removing the murder of public officials, remaining in the attempt, making it an intentional injury committed in cooperation, the court has decided that Dritan Nano, suspected of being the organizer of the attack, and his son-in-law Dorian Aliaj, one of the perpetrators to be investigated in prison. Meanwhile, the other three people involved in the attack have not yet been caught by the police.
The serious incident happened on the morning of May 29, where after the lawyer left his son in the garden, while he was standing outside the enclosure of the institution, he was punched by a person and then fell to the ground. After the fall, his head fell on the pavement, while two other people started kicking him.
As a result of the blows, he suffered two fractures, damage to the forehead and the back of the head from these blows. He also suffered damage to the brain and a small hemorrhage.
The perpetrators of the attack were identified as Dorian Alia, 32 years old (arrested after surrendering); Drivald Alia, 21 (wanted); Elton Kasaj (in search), 33 years old and Romario Tabaku, 26 years old (in search), all residents of Tirana.
Romario Tabaku was the person who drove away the perpetrators of the attack from the scene. The police have put a 20,000 euro reward for those who provide valuable information that helps in their capture.
