Mother Prena, the 101-year-old living in Rubik, now under the care of 2 employees who share shifts to help her, expresses the negative side of living for more than 1 century.
She says that she misses her home and her daughters, who are not only not around, but are not in good health, as they are all of retirement age.
For the show "Real People", she says that she does not want to live anymore because she has nothing and no one close.
Among other things, he added that not even the state takes care of him, while his son and husband have lost their lives.
" I turned 101 years old this October. I was born in Strungaja. I have no son, husband or sister-in-law. My son and husband are dead. The state has not taken care of me. I have a pension of 70 thousand ALL. Caregivers want money. 10 thousand ALL per day. Where can I get you? Ishalla God takes me. I have nothing and no one. I'm not happy to be alive. I am not a lady to keep myself. I have all the oysters retired. One lives outside. I have 6 daughters, but they are sick. One is paralysed, people have a bad disease, one has an arm damaged. I'm sorry for all of them ," she said.
She said that her parents engaged her since she was 2 years old, and that she saw her husband for the first time at the age of 18, the day she became a bride and went to his family.
Prena Buba Marku says that she is the mother of 10 children, three of whom unfortunately passed away.
" I have been married for 18 years. I have been childless for 2 years. Then my first daughter was born. I have had 10 children, 8 girls and two boys. I have only 7 children alive. I was made for sevap. The state has left me with 70 thousand lek. No one comes first. My husband has been dead for four years. I have been engaged since I was 2 years old. When I grew up they showed me. I saw my husband for the first time in his own house, when I got married. I got it because my mom and dad gave it to me. Wherever your mother and father gave you, you would go ", says the elderly woman.
Further, she showed the work she did when she was married and the vicissitudes she encountered while raising 10 children.
" I went to get wood for the stove, we got straw, all day long with a noose on my back. We were kept alive. The women carried the trees. Work had to be done, I had nothing to complain about. It was very difficult to raise 10 thousand. I had one pair of clothes for all the children. I wanted to go to school. He can neither read nor write. I barely learned to make the signature ," she said.
For the show "Real People" on Euronews Albania, she said that she had a very good time with her husband, who has unfortunately passed away four years ago, adding that she herself was a little jealous.
She says she misses her children and her company, adding that she has no desire to live anymore.
" I have never had a fight with my husband. I was jealous. The man was not jealous. You men are the most unfaithful. You are not ashamed of anything. I pray to God every day, come take me. I go out to the yard and I don't know anyone. I'm like putting a sheep in a goat. Why stay, when I don't see my children, my friends, my house. I missed the house, the children , "she emphasized.
Mother Prena shared the worst and most beautiful thing that happened to her in her entire life.
" Life and school are equal. If you had school, no one will drop you. If you didn't go to school, you're like a berri. The worst thing is that I have neither my son nor my husband. The most beautiful thing was when God forgave my son. I raised all the children at home. I only did the last one with the midwife. I had a great time with my mother-in-law. Today, how does anyone want their in-laws because they don't need them. Today I am not satisfied with my life. I don't have a son or daughter-in-law ", she underlined.
The 101-year-old mother showed that she had a great desire to become a teacher, but this dream remained in the drawer, to be realized later by her two daughters.
" I dream, I see my friends dead, I see my friends' wives, I see them as if I were alive. I have a lot of nieces and nephews. Some I don't know and they don't even know me. I always drank coffee and brandy. I still drink brandy, but I'm running out of places to buy it. I had a glass or two. If I had gone to school, I would have become a teacher. But the two girls became teachers. When the school opened, they told me to bring only one chick. My husband and I built two towers. I carried stones on my back ", she concluded.
