Security expert Fatjon Softa has commented on the serious incident that occurred the day before in Balldren, Lezha, where a married couple was executed by gunfire in a suspected revenge assassination.
According to Softa, the assassination appears to be well-organized and built on an old conflict between the parties. He emphasized that this is a conflict that has been ongoing for about 10 years, which has not received a legal solution and, as a result, has been inherited between generations.
"It is a conflict carried over time, which unfortunately has passed down to the third generation. The event could have been prevented, as the victims did not suspect that revenge would follow ," he said in the News24 studio.
The expert also highlighted that the Lezha area is known for such cases, suggesting that people with similar precedents should be kept under constant surveillance and control by the authorities.
Regarding the perpetrators, Softa stated that they showed professionalism in organizing the assassination, but at the same time made mistakes due to emotions.
"They left traces, there is footage, they were not masked and the manner in which they left the scene was not professional ," he concluded.
