Albania's Ambassador to Ukraine, Ernal Filo, has recounted the Russian missile attack that also hit the residence in Kiev where he resides.
He says he is the only diplomatic representative in the complex and that the attack was very powerful. The attack began around 10 pm on Saturday and ended around 6 am in the morning.
In these cases, there is no shortage of alerts, but Filo says the situation was frightening.
"There are definitely alerts, we receive information and measures. The information comes from very reliable sources, we go down to be sure, but this time it was really scary. I've almost lost sleep because I've had so many messages of solidarity and people asking me questions," Filo told "Report TV".
The facade of the building where he lives was damaged, while the other building was more severely affected.
"In the other one, he entered, even the parking floors were broken," said Filo, adding that his stay in the same complex is an issue that will be discussed with the Ministry.
As for contact with the Ukrainian authorities, it is stated that there has been interest from them as well.
"Of course, they asked me. I told them that we will continue to stand in full solidarity with Ukraine and they appreciate that. They are concerned because it is not easy when the building of a diplomatic representative is hit," Filo said.
He described the situation as very difficult, while saying that such attacks had not been seen before, also because of the weapons used.
"Very difficult and the people, the residents who experienced that moment, fled in panic. There were small children who started crying and people in Ukraine are used to such situations, but on this scale it has never been seen. Different types of missiles were used and they have enough missiles to cause great damage," Filo concluded.
