Interior Minister Taulant Balla asked the National Inspectorate of Territory Protection to guarantee the protection of the territory and the landscape from illegal interventions and developments along the roads.
During the inspections conducted by IKMT, Balla said that the government supports the business, but the environmental permit must be respected.
"The reason why we are here is to confirm that we support the business, continue the work, but have a deadline to adapt the work according to the environmental permit, in order not to damage either the environment, but also the appearance of the roads in Albania, the eyes of the users of the road, of tourists not to have access with this view we see here", said Balla during an inspection on the Tirana - Durrës axis.
IKMT and the State Police have launched a full control of the entire territory, based on a normative act for the cleaning of all the country's roads and customs points.
So far, 55 signs have been removed at some customs points, which give the territory a different look.
This action will be done in cooperation with local units.
