A former member of the MEK for 41 years, gave an exclusive interview for the show "Te Paespozuarit" on MCN TV, where he recounted shocking events from the camp and how life is organized in the MEK camp.
Hamid Atabai, who has already been away from the camp for a year, admitted that cyber attacks were carried out inside the camp, which were also coordinated with MEK supporters living in other countries.
We remind you that the State Police entered the Manza camp to seize electronic equipment with a court order, after suspicions that cyber attacks against Iran are being carried out from the camp, an activity prohibited for mujahedin who take refuge in Albania only for humanitarian reasons.
Ylli Rakipi: Were the Mujahideen involved in the activity against Iran?
Hamid Atabai : Undoubtedly, there were many things in Iraq that opposed Iran. Certainly they have set fire to oil barrels quite often...
Ylli Rakipi: I am talking about the activity in Manzë.
Hamid Atabai: Things were done from the Internet. On the internet they used, they wasted it.
Ylli Rakipi: What exactly did they do?
Hamid Atabai : First they deceived the young people who are in Iran. Because one of the main reasons MEK is still alive is deception. They managed to convince the youth to the point of opposing the government of Iran.
Neritan Sejamini: Can we know something more about recruitments, about cyber attacks?
Hamid Atabai : I personally have never been part of the Internet in Manza, but I am sure and I know that there are large numbers in MEK because I have seen them and there are also people who do hacking. A professor in Canada called Sasan who can do this job very well.
Neritan Sejamini : Was this activity done secretly or was the Albanian government aware from the beginning that this activity was taking place?
Hamid Atabai: Së pari, MEK ka një kusht, në çdo vend që shkon, nuk lejon shtetin të hyjë në veprimtarinë e tij. Bën diçka shumë të mbyllur, kështu si e treguat në film. Çdo polici dhe çdo shtet ka të drejtë të hyjë me anë të ligjit në çdo vend që do. Pse në momentin që policia erdhi në ASILA, nuk ka kundërshtuar askush aty dhe e ka lënë policinë të bëjë punën e saj? Pse nëse në MEK nuk kishte diçka për të fshehur, pse nuk e lanë policinë të hyjë? A mund të dijë Shqipëria si hakohet, nëse nuk lejohet policia të hyjë brenda? Shteti shqiptar ka punuar shumë fortë të arrijë deri aty.
Neritan Sejamini: Të gjithë pajisjet që përdoreshin aty janë futur kontrabandë aty? Si siguroheshin?
Hamid Atabai : Three years ago, some new computers were brought to Ashfraf. Just one fine day we saw that the computer was in front of us. The moment we were told we have brought a computer, all the members were surprised. They didn't even say that there is a computer area, so we didn't know where it came from.
