Journalist Ismet Drishti delivered a strong-toned speech during the national protest taking place in front of the Prime Minister's Office, harshly attacking Prime Minister Edi Rama and the entire political class.
From the protest tribune, Drishti called on citizens not to remain silent, but to speak out against the government and the political system, while ironizing the prime minister's stance towards critics.
" You all need to speak. I came out because I see his arrogance mocking those who speak and saying 'who spoke'. And who dares to say this? The one who dares to speak and make laws in the Zegjinena Parliament dares to say it ," said Drishti.
The journalist did not spare other names from the majority and opposition, stating that the level of political representation has degraded.
" The one who brought Ulsi Manjë, Bora Muzhaqin and the other side that brought Yenisehri into Parliament, brought Lulzim Basha to sing! Everyone here has the mind to speak more than everyone else who is where they don't belong ," he said.
At the end of his speech, Drishti repeated one of the slogans that have been dominating the protests of recent weeks, demanding that justice be served against key political figures.
" Remember, Rama in jail, Berisha in jail! " he declared, amid applause and cheers from protesters.
The journalist's speech was met with strong reactions from the crowd gathered on the 28th day of the protest, which continues to demand the removal of the government and profound changes in the Albanian political system.
