Lawyer Ylli Manjani said on the Now show on Euronews Albania that the Albanian state should collect taxes for every barrel of oil extracted from Bankeres in Albania, which has not happened.
According to Manjani, many governments and government officials have benefited from Bankers over the years, while a company that claimed to survive in bankruptcy conditions should have been closed down long ago.
" Bankers has been a good cow to milk, in all senses, for 20 years, Albania has been drinking Bankers' milk. In 20 years, whoever could benefit from Bankers has benefited, government, government officials. All of Fier has eaten bread there, as far as I know... because of corruption. Every time you shake the sack of Bankers, bran comes out, a company that declares losses in 20 years, I'll tell you just one law, that of bankruptcy, no company can resist in the market under bankruptcy conditions. This law alone should have been seized years ago. There have been continuous tax investigations, we have also been in Arbitration with Bankers where the Albanian state has won ", said Manjani.
