Albanian journalist in the United Kingdom, Arben Manaj, has commented on the role of Albanian groups in criminal drug networks in London, stating that they are the dominant ones in the country.
Manaj emphasized that we should not hide behind our fingers and pretend that there is no real problem regarding the involvement of Albanians in criminal activities.
"We should not hide behind our fingers and say that there is no crime in London, let's not forget that Albanian crime and drug groups are dominant and according to data, it is thought that 2-4 billion is generated from cocaine and cannabis," he told "News 24".
The journalist said that due to his work as an official translator in courts and police stations, he has learned that 95% of Albanians are detained for possession with the intent to supply and distribute drugs.
"I deal with Albanian criminologists every day because I am also an official translator, I go to courts, police stations, and I tell you with conviction that 95% of Albanians who are arrested and charged in courts are for possession with the intent to supply and distribute drugs and cannabis, and these are also small vendors who rent cars ," said Manaj.
The journalist said that since 1995, cannabis remains the main drug used by the British.
