Klodiana Lala warns: A scandal will soon break out in the KLJ!
Klodiana Lala

Journalist Klodiana Lala has warned of a scandal that, according to her, will soon erupt in the Supreme Judicial Council. Lala says that in this institution, some threads are being moved under the rug to remove from the Council, one of the newly elected members.

The journalist says that in the ranks of the judiciary it is said that Gentiana Muça does not have the support of some members of the Supreme Court, those who play tricks on the justice system. According to Lala, this support is enjoyed by Alma Kodraliu, who is loved in the Council.

Klodiana Lala's post:

The scandal that is expected to grip the KLJ (reformed)

I will not allow anyone to say that I was not warned about what is happening in what is known as the "government of the judiciary", the Supreme Judicial Council. In this institution, some threads are being moved under the rug to remove one of the newly elected members from the Council. So, in short, a scandal is brewing that is likely to explode soon. I am clarifying in a few words.

On October 9, 2023, the General Meeting of Judges of the Republic of Albania was held, for the election of three new members of the High Judicial Council.

As the case would have it, the vice president of the Supreme Court, Sokol Sadushi, kept his word. Then Naureda Llagami, the President of the KLJ, went up to the podium (no one understood what she said).

Following this, the candidates one by one presented their platforms and asked for the confidence of their colleagues.

According to the press office of the Supreme Court, 236 judges were present at the meeting, out of 240 in total.

After expressing their will by voting, the commission started counting.

Emona Muci won with 133 votes against the candidate Irida Kacerja who secured 92 of them. She took the seat vacant by the judges from the ranks of Appeal, replacing Brikena Ukperaj.

From the courts of first instance from the districts, only one candidate was in the race; Markelian Koça who automatically passed. Koça replaced Marcela Shehu.

Alma Kodraliu and Gentiana Muça competed for the vacant position of Dritan Hallunaj from the first instance courts from Tirana.

At the end of the counting, Gentiana Muça was the winner with 114 votes out of 112 that Alma Kodraliu secured. So with only two votes difference. The race was close and heated until the last vote.

But you will say where "the rabbit sleeps". I'm telling you.

In the ranks of the judiciary, it is said that Gentiana Muça does not have the support of some members of the Supreme Court, those who play tricks on the justice system. Alma Kodraliu, who is loved in the Council, enjoys this support - the sources emphasize. But how will this be possible?

Quite simply. By declaring a vote invalid and proceeding to a re-vote.

The mechanism is a simple lawsuit in the Administrative Court, which, as sources inform me, is ready.

The questions I ask are these: where are the ballot boxes kept? Who guarantees that there is no interference or removal of any vote?

It's a simple story, but it proves to me that in our country, votes are not stolen to become mayors or deputies, but votes are interfered with even when it comes to the justice system.

I am reminding you of a fresh case. The American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, had to land in KLP, when voting for the new head of SPAK. The Americans should have landed in the KLGJ as well, or should have landed before it was too late.

(Clarification: No personal acquaintance or interest in Ms. Muça, I even doubt myself if I know her if she is in front of me on the road).

It is better to prevent scandals than to have them happen and then discuss with the studios.

Long live the new justice, if the judges meet again to replace one judge with another in the Supreme Court. Career should be meritocracy.
