Criticizing the doctors, Edvin Prifti "hangs out" at Baton Haxhiu: Ungrateful, don't act all-knowing!

Criticizing the doctors, Edvin Prifti "hangs out" at Baton Haxhiu:

Doctor Edvin Prifti has clashed at a distance with journalist Baton Haxhiu, who lets out a slur every time he appears in the media.

Haxhiu stated yesterday in a studio that there are no good doctors in Albania, and this irritated Prifti, who reacted at length on social media.

Haxhiu claimed on the show that all healthcare buildings have been renovated, even though the quality of Albanian doctors leaves much to be desired.

He was opposed by analyst Armand Shkullaku, but Haxhiu stood by his idea about the quality of Albanian medicine.

The Priest's full post:

The great philosopher Karl Popper once wrote that:

"True ignorance is not the absence of knowledge, but the refusal to acquire it."

I was reminded of this expression while listening to Mr. Baton Haxhiu declare, with the calm absurdity of Popper's model, that the problem of Albanian healthcare is the incompetence of Albanian doctors, in a show on Syri.tv. Surely, knowing that Mr. Haxhiu represents a certain current, I believe that he is not only speaking in his name, but also in what he represents?!

When told that this was not true, the “all-knowing” gentleman in question asked for names — and my name was accidentally mentioned. After some transhumanist grimaces, he said that he didn’t need to bother with proper names when he asked for them himself. However, I’m sure he would be talking about SPAK and other things when he mentioned my name — a well-known story of weak thinking!

I met Mr. Baton Haxhiu when he invited me for lunch at a restaurant in Tirana, in 2009, to help a Macedonian friend of his, a cardiologist, Dr. Petrovsky, who had opened a private hospital in Pristina, for whom it was not possible for me to help. This was the first and last time, but is it enough for a person not to grimace when another's name is mentioned, not to show a deep lack of character?!

Second, Albanian doctors, Mr. Haxhiu, with their advantages and disadvantages – of course there are some among them who have not said anything to me – but all of them, despite everything, have treated tens of thousands of Kosovar patients. And I personally recognize the merits of all of them, both when I love them and when I do not! Just as I think that a wise man forgives, but does not forget! Anyway, did you forget gratitude?!

Third, these are the Albanian doctors of Tirana who have trained hundreds of Kosovar doctors over the decades. You forgot gratitude again!

By definition: Ingratitude is anyone's biggest character flaw!

Fourth, there are Albanian doctors and professors who have licenses to practice their profession not only in the European Community and North America – and here I am not talking only about myself – there are Albanian doctors and professors who have such a scientific index, like the Hirsch Index, that would be envied even in Europe – and again, I am not just including myself here. There are Albanian doctors and professors who have produced new techniques and ideas, approved in Europe and the USA – and again, I am not talking only about myself. There are Albanian doctors and professors who have been honored with scientific and world awards that you cannot even imagine, just as no “doctor” who writes to you can imagine!

I do not allow myself to speak about things I am not competent in, but this principle has been forgotten among you. In your omniscience, I remind you to be a little illuminati, so as not to debate science, knowledge, academia and medicine – as you greatly harm your masters, and they will not forgive you for this harm. Take it as positive advice.

Of course, after this you have the option to insult me, remind me of SPAK or whatever, but I could not remain silent when you blatantly insult Albanian doctors - even though they carry the same beauty or ugliness that this people, from which you also come, carries!

I could tolerate everything from ignorance, when you scream about medicine, but not from you!

Perhaps Goethe's expression applies to you and to this specific case:

"Man sees in the world what he carries in his heart."
