Edi Rama avoids Frida Krifca in meetings with farmers to hide the big affair of the theft of 170 million euros from EU funds for agriculture. Meanwhile, SPAK and BKH turn a blind eye, letting the former minister who caused the scandal continue to launder millions in concrete and towers, directly from the prime minister's office...
Prime Minister Edi Rama has begun electoral meetings with farmers, promising that Albania will benefit from 300 million euros per year from European agricultural funds, once the country becomes part of the EU.
In fact, the EU Secretariat for Agriculture has long since suspended "IPARD-II" grants and donations to Albania, due to corruption and fraud of funds by the Albanian government. This situation was confirmed by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), which has filed a report with SPAK, identifying the former director of AZHBR and former Minister of Agriculture, Frida Krifca, as a key person in this affair.
SPAK has not taken any action against Krifca for more than 3 years, although she is directly accused by the EU of having embezzled around 170 million euros from agricultural funds, in collaboration with regional directors, mayors and people connected to crime, such as the famous Ben Qimja. These funds, which should have gone to Albanian farmers, were used for the construction of towers, hotels, palaces and luxury villas.
Meanwhile, although dismissed as minister, Frida Krifca was immediately recycled by Rama as his advisor to the Prime Minister, specifically for agricultural funds. Recently, she has begun to expand her private construction business, using her family members and beneficiaries of agricultural funds.
This situation has become problematic for Rama, who now openly avoids Frida Krifca in every meeting with farmers, as her presence would irritate Albanian farmers who already know well that she is responsible for the theft of European agricultural funds.
On the other hand, SPAK, under the leadership of Altin Dumani, continues to remain silent, although for three years it has had in its hands the OLAF criminal report, two other files full of facts and concrete evidence of abuses, as well as continuous warnings from international institutions demanding urgent action.
On September 28, 2023, Dumani publicly declared that an investigation into agricultural funds had begun, but strangely, Frida Krifca was never questioned, and is not even listed as a person under investigation by SPAK and BKH, despite EU files identifying her as the main person responsible for the 170 million euro affair.
SPAK's silence and Rama's political maneuvers with Krifcë show that corruption in Albania continues to be untouchable, clearly demonstrating the dark ties that keep politics connected to the oligarchs and criminals who steal the money of Albanian and European citizens.
Meanwhile, farmers can only wait, between Rama's promises and the lack of justice, which SPAK is still not delivering, while Frida Krifca continues to be free and active with the prime minister. / Pamphlet
