The construction of the 58-story tower in the heart of Tirana known as "Mount Tirana" is also creating unexpected government-opposition conflicts.
Today, Prime Minister Rama wrote a long article to defend the 58-story tower, where the media supporting it denounced the participation of the Berisha family in this business.
If Rama defended the thesis that as prime minister he was interested in who the shareholders are, Mero Baze considered this as an indirect defense for Shkëlzen Berisha.
"I beg you not to go out today at 12 o'clock to protect Shkëlzen. It is better to do it in a row than on vacation days. Today is the last time," wrote Baze, commenting on Rama's last article.
Edi Rama wrote in his article: "My problem here is thankfully the hardest and the simplest! How to get the most out of the radiant and attractive power for Tirana, by realizing another iconic tower, which is not financed or built by the state, but is made possible by a completely private agreement between the owners, investors, architects and engineers, but where, but, the relevant state authority has not only the duty to pave the way for the legitimate development of a private property, in accordance with the vision of the development of the capital, but also the right to demand from developers the highest possible architectural and engineering quality".
