Journalist Roland Qafoku has issued harsh criticism towards the opposition during a debate with democrat Ilir Alimehmeti about the latest developments in the country.
According to Qafoku, people who do not deserve it continue to be appointed to leadership positions in the DP, and for this reason he asked doctor Alimehmeti not to run for the Tirana municipality as he would be burned as a figurehead.
Further, in line with his discourse, journalist Qafoku added that today Belind Këlliçi, who received the greatest support on May 11, should have been elected as the leader of the DP group, and not Gazment Bardhi, who suffered a humiliating defeat in the Fier region.
" Parties evolve and while Rama has won 4 mandates, he does whatever he wants and that's his style. I'm not bothered by Rama's march, but that we don't have an opposition to oppose him. With as many mandates as Rama has, he said that the new parliament will be as many mandates as Rama will have. He does as he pleases. What worries me is that we don't have an alternative to break it. We've been talking about the government for 12 years. How will the DP win? What did the DP read with Gazment Bardhi. He is unelected and is the group leader because the doctor said so. I don't take sides.
If you announce your candidacy for mayor, you will lose, you will burn out as a politician. I love you very much, doctor, as a politician, I would vote for you. But how will I vote in a moral sense, the mass of Tirana loves you. If you see what is happening there, an unvoted person was elected, and you will crack. This is what happens in the DP. It would be better if Belind Këlliçi were the group leader, but he is the most voted. You have no alternative, doctor, and Rama does whatever he pleases," Qafoku said on "A2CCN".
