After the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office, citizens moved the protest to the police station where some of those arrested after the morning tensions in front of the Parliament are being held.
The 33rd day protest has moved this evening to Police Station No. 3 in Tirana, where hundreds of citizens have gathered to demand the release of protesters arrested during the morning tensions in front of the Parliament.
Unlike other days, this protest began in the morning hours in front of the Parliament, where citizens attempted to block the entry of deputies to the plenary session. The situation escalated with clashes between protesters and the State Police, who used tear gas, pepper spray and physical force to disperse the crowd. As a result, some protesters were escorted and arrested.
Following the morning's events, the protest continued as planned in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where the organizers condemned the police intervention, accused the government of escalating the situation, and demanded the release of those arrested. At the end of the rally, they announced that the night march would take place towards Police Station No. 3.
As they arrived in front of the police building, the protesters began chanting "Free the boys," "The end has come," "Rama resigns," and "Rama in jail, Berisha in jail," demanding the immediate release of the detained citizens.
The march towards Police Station No. 3 marked the closing act of today's protest, which, unlike the previous 32 days, was characterized by the strongest clashes between protesters and police since the start of this civic movement.
