The American Embassy in Tirana has issued a warning to people applying for a visa to the USA.
In the message published on the official website, it is emphasized that any person who lies to obtain a US visa, or who violates the visa's expiration dates, will face serious penalties.
“All visa applicants must demonstrate that they qualify for a visa in order to come to the United States. This includes the intent to comply with our laws.
If you lie to get a visa, work illegally, or stay in the United States after your visa or visa-free travel program expires, you will face serious penalties.
"These include imprisonment, deportation, and a permanent ban on obtaining a US visa in the future," the US Embassy said in a statement.
