Bad weather has created problems in vehicle traffic on some of the country's road axes.
As a result of continuous rainfall, there have been landslides of rocks and debris on the Burrel-Skuraj national road, creating a risk for vehicle traffic.
Massive landslides have been recorded near the Ulza bridge, as well as near sector C, while similar problems have been observed in other segments of this road.
During the night hours, traffic was only moving on one side, as the road from Burreli towards Milot was blocked in several segments, significantly hindering the movement of vehicles.
This road segment remains problematic whenever it rains, due to the constant sliding of rocks from the mountain slope.
The lack of signage, side guards, and the worn-out condition of the road with numerous potholes further increases the risk for drivers.
A small deviation from the road can have serious consequences, as there is a risk of the vehicle ending up in Lake Shkopet.
The situation is also worsened by flooding on the road, as well as in the Shkopet tunnel, which makes traffic even more difficult.
Currently, the road maintenance company is on site and is working to clear stones and debris from the road, while drivers are advised to exercise increased caution while driving on this road.
