Ndue Cara, the former mayor of Puka and one of the most well-known health figures in the north of the country, has passed away at the age of 77. After a long battle with a serious illness, Cara passed away, leaving behind a valuable legacy as a doctor and leader of public institutions.
Ndue Cara was one of the few mayors who remained in Puka even after the end of his mandate. He continued to contribute to the health service by visiting patients even from his office as mayor.
With a long career in leading several health institutions, Cara was known for his dedication to the community. Even in retirement, he did not abandon medicine, but chose to serve in the most remote areas of the country.
For nearly 10 years, Ndue Cara lived in a container in the deep area of Fierza, where she provided medical assistance to residents of isolated villages, becoming a symbol of dedication and humanity.
His departure leaves a huge void in the Pukjan community and beyond.
