Fahrije Hoti, a woman from the village of Krushë e Madhe, who was widowed along with about 200 other women from the village as a result of the recent war in the country, is the owner of the new facility for the "Krusha" Cooperative, which she founded years ago in an effort to raise her two children.
Currently, 60 other women from the village work at the "Krusha" cooperative, who share the same fate as Mrs. Fahrije.
The construction of the facility was financed 70 percent by the European Union and 30 percent by voluntary contributions from several local businesses, coordinated by the Albanian Embassy in Kosovo.
Mrs. Fahrije's story, realized through a feature-length film titled "Woke Up", recently won three awards at one of the most prestigious Sundance festivals in America.
The women of the "Krusha" Agricultural Cooperative, led by Ms. Fahrije Hoti, have appreciated the efforts of the Mayor of Roskovec, Ms. Majlinda Bufi, for the development of agriculture and the support of women in this sector.
On this occasion, they would like to visit the Municipality of Roskovec to share their experiences, learn more about successful practices and discuss possibilities for further cooperation.
"We are convinced that such a meeting would be beneficial for both parties and would help strengthen the ties between us," says Fahrije Hoti.
The meeting will take place in Mayor Bufi's office, where they will get to know each other, but also the agriculture that this city offers to livestock farmers and farmers.
