SPAK seizes the assets of Ergys Kastrati, Igli Kamberi and their relatives
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has imposed a seizure on the assets of persons suspected of being part of a criminal group involved in money laundering, specifically against Igli Kamberi, Ergys Kastrati and their families.
As part of this operation, four commercial companies, eight bank accounts and eight vehicles were seized. The companies placed under seizure are “Fermer Fatos Buzi”, “Igli Kamberi”, “Auto Rend&Sell – Albania” and “Lefter Nelaj”.
Two of the seized bank accounts are in the name of Ergys Kastrati's wife, Desmira Ceco. Two other accounts are in the name of Igli Kamberi's wife, Nevila Kamberi, as well as her mother, Dituri Buzi. Meanwhile, the company "Fermer Fatos Buzi" has been seized from the latter's father, Fatos Buzi.
Igli Kamberi, considered the leader of the criminal group, has also had his trading company, "Igli Kamberi", seized. Meanwhile, the company "Auto Rend&Sell – Albania", also seized by SPAK, is owned by Bardhok Gjergji, from whom five vehicles and a bank account have also been seized.
Two other bank accounts seized are in the name of Saimir Pirra, as well as a vehicle. Meanwhile, Lefter Nelaj's company "Lefter Nelaj" has been seized, along with a bank account. Two vehicles owned by Edi Brahaj have also been seized.
We recall that as part of the joint operation with Italian authorities, 15 security measures have been issued, of which 10 have been executed in Tirana. So far, four people have been arrested, including Ergys Kastrati, known by the nickname "Bishja", and Igli Kamberi.
Igli Kamberi, considered the leader of the criminal group, has been arrested in Italy, where he is also accused of the murder of an Italian barber in 2025. Meanwhile, Ergys Kastrati alias "Bishja" was arrested in a villa in a residential area in Tirana.
