The criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, has shown where the deputies hide the money and where they clean it.
Some of the methods mentioned by the expert are bank deposits in someone else's name, offshore banks, second-hand businesses, art, culture or gambling.
"SPAK has overturned all the classical methods that we have had for money laundering. Those statements are correct, but they are not made by the politicians themselves, they have even hired international experts to analyze how money laundering is carried out, that is, how money is cleaned.
Even from the trainings that SPAK has done, the main items to date are, first, deposits, so that you don't have a bank account number, but you have a deposit in the name of a trusted person, who puts things of value inside. There is information from SPAK that they put the money in these deposits. So there is no figure but these are the tapes, he pays an annual rent and keeps them there all the time.
The problem also lies with the offshore, the banks in the Netherlands, which have moved to the offshore banks, which are also in the Caribbean and Dubai, it is said that there is also a percentage in the second level banks.
We also have solidification in gold. There is a phenomenon that is not understood in Albania, very few people enter some businesses, while the billing is very large. It is investigated for the cleaning of the product of the criminal offense, because you cannot justify that no one comes in and bills you.
We also have art and culture, Kosovo did it. In Albania, there are actors, singers and even films that are sponsored by people who want to clean the products of criminal offenses, this is also being investigated.
The other one is at the notary, I borrow money from someone and say that I am paying it back gradually, while it is my money and this is done fictitiously.
And gambling, we have had it legalized, now we have it unregulated and now it will be legalized again. They are justified because they won the money in gambling," said Karamuço, invited to Top Story.
