Since the end of last year, there was talk about the merger of Gazmend Bardhi's group with the structures of the Reestablishment DP. A deadline was given at the beginning of January and then at the end of this month. Waiting for this movement was the appointment of 4 coordinators for the organization of the protests, as it seemed that there would also be names from the Bardhi group.
But the Presidency of Berisha's PD did not delay any longer and appointed 4 coordinators yesterday, a move that has been criticized by some MPs, who previously requested the union. But how does this movement come about and what developments do we expect in both DP camps?
This issue was discussed in the Debate by Alba Alishani, where the analyst Ervis Iljazaj was also invited, who stated that the possibilities of uniting the parts of the DP have already decreased significantly, especially with the appointment of 4 coordinators.
" All the illusion that Bardhi and the others had about getting a piece when they went to Berisha, have been extinguished with the appointment of 4 coordinators who are loyal to him. With the appointment of the coordinators, Berisha broke Bardhi's dream with his friends. They thought they would use Berisha, meanwhile they don't understand that if there is one person who used them all here, this is Sali Berisha ", he said.
He went even further, evaluating the unification as almost impossible, and here he gave two reasons. " Parts of DP cannot unite for two main reasons. The two groups have neither the same principles nor the same interests. In principle, two political groups cannot unite politically, where one calls Duman a murderer and a criminal organization, while the other says he has high moral integrity. Two political positions cannot be united, where one group and its leadership is declared non grata by Britain and the USA and the other goes to meetings with Escobar, whom Berisha calls corrupt and captured by Soros. In politics, two parts cannot stay together where one is for war and the other is for peace ", said Iljazi.
