The leader of the "Albania Becomes Initiative" coalition, Adriatik Lapaj, was present at the Olympic Park in Tirana, where the process of counting votes from the diaspora has begun.
In a statement to Euronews Albania, Lapaj expressed optimism about the expected result for his political force, emphasizing that they should be the coalition most voted for by Albanian emigrants, due to the key role they played in the approval of the law on the diaspora vote.
"Our expectation is that of those who imposed the diaspora vote and forced all these others to go to the diaspora. With simple logic, we should have been the most voted force, since that law was written and passed by us ," said Lapaj.
Focusing on the race in the capital, he stated that his coalition expects a result that would translate into at least 4 mandates.
"It will be an impressive result, in any case over 10% of the votes. In Tirana we expect at least over 4 mandates ," declared the head of the "Albania Initiative".
