
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has reacted to the death of the sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, on the one-year anniversary of his murder in the line of duty. Today, 1 year since the terrorist attack in the monastery of Banjska in the north of Kosovo.
The Foreign Ministry writes that Albania supports Kosovo in its efforts and achievements, for the establishment of the rule of law in the entire territory of the country.
In its response, the MEPJ states that it is unacceptable that the perpetrators responsible for this crime are still at large.
The Foreign Ministry emphasizes that Albania welcomes the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutor's Office to indict the suspects for organizing and carrying out this attack.
"Today marks one year since the terrorist attack by the Serbian armed group in Banjska, where the police sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.
Remembering with respect, the sacrifice of Afrim Bunjak, Albania supports Kosovo in its efforts and achievements, for the establishment of the rule of law throughout the territory of the country.
It is unacceptable that the perpetrators responsible for this crime still remain at large. Justice must be served without delay or excuses.
Albania welcomes the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutor's Office to indict the suspects for organizing and carrying out this brutal attack. Accountability is a key element for preventing escalations and consolidating peace in the entire region" , writes the Foreign Ministry.
