Former politician and historian Paskal Milo has spoken about the idea of creating a "Bektashi state". He said that the plan for the creation of a state within the Albanian state has been circulating in Prime Minister Rama's offices for years.
Milo has also spoken about the attitude of the Turkish ambassador to Albania, Tayyar Kağan Atay, who has warned the leader of the Bektashi, Baba Dede Edmond Brahimaj, about the closeness that the latter has shown to Israel.
According to him, the creation of a Bektashi state has brought concerns not only within the country, but also at the diplomatic level.
"A few months ago, the ambassador of Turkey in Tirana made a statement accusing Baba Mondi of relations with Israel. Erdogan is even more dissatisfied with the head of KMSH. We are members of the Islamic Conference, even there there will be influence, dissatisfaction. Concerns are also created within the country, even in terms of international relations. These should be seen with balance, treated with care. This idea has been circulating in the offices of the Prime Minister for several years. It is a project of several years. The State of Israel is grateful to Baba Mondi for his attitude towards Israel. He has maintained a balanced attitude". Ambassador of Turkey Atay: We follow every move. In March of this year, the Ambassador of Turkey Tayyar Kağan Atay during an iftar organized by the TUMED association (Turkey Graduates Association), showed the attention of the Turkish state to the recent events in Albania, the protests for Palestine, for the Gülenists and the meeting of the head of KMSH, Bujar Spahiu and Baba Mondi with the ambassador of Israel.
He said at that time that Turkey closely follows everything that happens in Albania, but does not interfere in Albania's internal affairs.
During the iftar (28.03.2024), Atay also brought attention to the meeting that the chairman of the KMSH Bujar Spahiu and Baba Mondi held with the ambassador of Israel. Regarding Spahi's meeting with this ambassador, he interpreted it as something expected for the alliance that the Gülenists have with Israel, because nothing else is expected from the Gülenists, but he "pulled the ear" of the head of the Bektashi.
"We call on Baba Mondi to be careful, Israel has killed more than 30 thousand civilians ," said the Turkish ambassador.
