The scandals of the "2T" company of Artan and Gramos Sakos are not over. The construction company 2T shpk was a few days ago the subject of surprise inspections by the BKH, as part of the investigation into corrupt affairs with public works, mainly roads.
Meanwhile, it is learned that today, during an underground intervention for the laying of water pipes, "2T" left the entire Lungomare promenade without electricity.
During the works carried out at the entrance to the promenade, an electrical cable was snapped, causing a power outage in the entire area. As a result, dozens of businesses were forced to cease operations, while families living in the area were left without electricity.
In 2013, when the Socialist Party came to power, 2T was a modest and almost unknown company. During the socialist regime, due to the political connections and public functions of Artan Sako's brother, Gramos Sako, the company not only increased its annual turnover tenfold, but also became one of the main beneficiaries of public funds.
Gramos Sako, who is believed to be the real owner of 2T shpk, spent 11 years at the head of the Republic Guard, and in November 2025 was elected mayor of Berat. In the last five years alone, the 2T company has benefited from over 110 million euros of public money, through clientelistic tenders, with false documents, strong suspicions of corruption and by deceiving in the implementation of contracts.
Part of the public money received from Artan Sako's 2T shpk company ends up in the pockets of Mayor Gramos Sako through fictitious contracts, dubious transactions and arbitrary salaries for his relatives. In his asset declaration to the HIDAKPKI, Gramos Sako, in one case, stated that his wife had taken a loan worth 63 thousand euros from his brother, Artan Sako, to invest in her dental clinic.
