The student at the Lukova school was raped and threatened with a knife, the

The tragedy that took the life of the 14-year-old in Tirana could have been preceded by a similar event, 250 kilometers away from the capital, in the village of Lukovë in Himare.

A 12-year-old child pointed a knife at a peer inside the school, but even after the parents called for investigations and verifications, the teaching staff and the police did not take any action.

Marius Sosoli, from the village of Lukovë, complained to the editorial office of the show, who said that his son was threatened with a knife inside the village school on October 29, 2024. According to him, the boy is 11 years old, while the "perpetrator" is 12 year old.

"I told Fiks that my son came home from school with signs. I have pictures of him and now I won't go to school anymore. At the end of October, he came and told me that they pointed the knife at him. I called the teacher and she didn't know anything. That staff does not take care of the children and we are afraid", says the informant.

According to him, even after being threatened with a knife, the boy was beaten inside the school.

"Those at school don't tell me what happens. Neither when they beat him nor for anything else. They did not assess the incident and do not care about the safety of the children", said the informant, while adding that the boy told him that when they threatened him with a knife, the police went to the school and he and his wife were not notified.

"On November 19, there was a policeman in the village and the boy saw him and told me that this is the policeman who asked me. The inspector came and asked me to account for keeping the boy well. I told him when they took out the knife they didn't investigate him and he didn't even know. Then he made an appointment for me on November 20 to meet the school staff", he says. At the end, he adds that he decided to report now because of the tragedy in Tirana and the fear that the event may not be repeated.

"We are afraid to take him to school. He will not go to school anymore, when I tell him I will take him to work, he comes quickly" , he says.

After the complaint, Mariusi goes to the 9-year-old school in Lukovë and meets the local police inspector at the school door. In the corridor, the policeman tells him that he has to wait and he himself enters and stays for 16 minutes in the school director's office. Then the informant enters and finds there the principal, the policeman, the caretaker teacher and 1 student of his son's age.

In conversations and debates, everyone admits that a knife was used inside the school and no one took action. They even ask the parent for an explanation as to why he did not report it then but remembers now. They even "accuse" his son of being problematic and too busy.

Now, after the Tirana tragedy, the police and the teaching staff discussed this issue, but the school has neither a security officer nor psychologists. However, unlike what he stated in that meeting, the director denies having a knife in front of the camera.

"Nothing happened, the only thing was that the children got confused with each other and the movie ended. On the 5th the incident happened, on the 6th we called the area inspector and solved the problem! That is the incident, we have not seen it, no one told us anything. We listened to the parent, the parent called at 7 o'clock in the afternoon. No one saw the knife, no one saw it ," he says.

Fiksi asks him what measure has been taken now after that event, as he answers that "we have taken measures, starting from bag checks".

He further adds that from the confrontation with the police, it turned out that the parent was lying.

"There is no chance with that child that anyone will touch him. Why did they ask for homework", he affirms, as journalists ask him if they notified the Local Education Office in Himarë or the Directorate of Pre-university Education in Fier.

The director answers that no, "because we called it something that does not hold." I notified the area inspector. We didn't see it as reasonable." Finally, he adds that the school does not have a security officer and psychologists, where these roles are performed by the pedagogical staff, which allows the local police to question the children without the presence of psychologists and parents.
