The former head of the Police, Fatjon Softa, has commented on the recent arrests of a group of drug traffickers, among whom was the former senior Police official, Erzen Breçani.
He stated that a criminal group needs support if the latter carries out criminal activity throughout the territory, while adding that Police structures have often been accused of favoring groups with such goals.
Softa also said that the data revealed by the SKY communication application is expected to lead to about 50 more arrests, among which there will be people at high levels.
"Today we are discussing very well-known names in this group of detainees. Breçani has been a senior leader, both in the special forces and further in the State Police. We had some normal long distance communication, but not much more. His name was a surprise to everyone.
A person who will exercise an activity that extends throughout the territory, needs a support that favors him in the criminal activity. Police structures have been accused of favoring criminal groups. These data came from the SKY application and now up to 50 people are expected to be arrested, some of them at high levels", said Fatjon Softa for "News 24".
