Analyst Andi Bushati declared that with Trump's return to the White House, a wind of US neglect will begin towards countries like Albania, where democracy is regressing.
Unlike the opposition, Bushati does not think that we will have a big benefit from Trump's return to power.
" Despite the fact that there is some kind of enthusiasm and a lot of hope from the local opposition, I am skeptical about any positive development that can happen in Albania. There is much from the DP that the wind of Sorso, the influence of Rama will end, but Trump is the arrival of a conservative philosophy in power and a kind of return of America to isolationism, not to the intervention of other countries, but to the implementation of the sovereignty of all countries. Bushati considers as not serious and ridiculous the behavior of the opposition, which started civil disobedience and returned to Parliament to debate the new 2025 budget.
" When the opposition decided to start civil disobedience, did they know that after a few weeks the budget would be discussed? Either they were idiots then for not knowing, or they are idiots now that they have withdrawn. Both together do not stand. We will do civil disobedience, but wait, we have to vote on the budget! This makes the opposition non-serious and ridiculous. I understand that under the conditions of a regime it is very difficult to be in opposition, but even making such idiotic mistakes, you lose what little legitimacy you have left. The opposition, with as much power as it has, should prepare for elections, it will never reach the technical government ", he said.
