Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, stated that the extension of the investigations and Ilir Meta's detention are politically inspired acts and that political justice is difficult to dismantle with legal arguments.
During a live broadcast for the show "The Unexposed", Cakrani added that SPAK has searched "all over the planet" for evidence of Meta, but they have found nothing and the former President's wealth "is zero".
" The investigations were extended because Mr. Meta's one-year term expired on June 10. Criminal proceedings were registered. His arrest, the criminal manner of a terrorist state, leaves one to suspect that it is a political act against him.
