The situation in the MEK camp in Durrës is tense. The mujahedeen have come out in protest, after the police check inside the camp premises.
Since this morning, numerous forces of the State Police, including the RENEA forces, have landed in a mega-operation in the MEK camp in Durrës, to carry out checks in all the premises and offices where activists of the Iranian opposition have taken shelter.
Sources said that detailed checks were carried out on electronic devices such as computers, phones, drones, etc. The operation was led by the head of the state police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, while 70 arrest warrants were issued.
The spokesman of the Iranian MEK camp in Manza of Durrës claims that the Albanian police killed one person inside the camp and injured 36 others. According to them, he lost his life after a lot of tear gas was thrown. But the Albanian police say that their claims are not true.
Through a press release, the state police informed that the controls are carried out within an operational plan in implementation of the control orders issued by the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime.
