Journalist Robert Rakipllari and analyst Ervis Iljazajt shared their views on the independence and work of SPAK.
In an interview for "Top Story", Iljazaj said that it is wrong to claim that SPAK is independent, while Rakipllari stated that Rama has a guarantee that he is not investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office.
Excerpts from the studio interview:
Iljazaj : If you think that SPAK is independent and say so at the same time, it is very wrong. If we consider SPAK independent if it investigates Berisha, Veliaj and others at the same time.
Rakipllari : There is a problem, now the investigations as of today, what SPAK is doing, there are two very big elements. All surveys that are done today SPAK has a high level of reliability and support.
Iljazaj : It is not even electoral.
Rakipllari : The majority has nothing to do with it and the second cannot go against the citizens who will go to vote tomorrow. Majoranca has another advantage, Rama seems to have a guarantee that is not investigated by itself. It has its own warranty. Finally, the opposition has a problem. In which democratic country has he been the leader of the opposition for 34 years.
Iljazaj : It's a vote.
Rakipllari : You know very well that democratic countries have the circulation of elites, there is none here. It happened only in PS. That's the whole story. What is the government's fault?
