The Prosecutor General, Olsian Çela, is reporting today to the Assembly the work during the year 2023 of the work of the institution he leads.
Çela emphasized that the district with the lowest criminality is Dibra, while the one with the highest criminality is Vlora.
"The coefficient of criminality for registered criminal proceedings, per 100,000 inhabitants in 2023 is 872, while in 2022 the coefficient of criminality was 920. In 2022, the lowest percentage of criminality per 100,000 inhabitants is in Dibër district, while the percentage Vlorë region has the highest. Among the group of criminal offenses with the highest number of registered proceedings, it is evident that criminal offenses against order and security ", he said.
He also emphasized that during the year 2023, 55253[1] incriminating materials were handled in the prosecution body, which is a decrease of 9.4% compared to 2022. A total of 45715 criminal proceedings were followed, of which 24095 are criminal proceedings registered, and 21011 criminal proceedings were carried out.
