According to the head of the socialist parliamentary group, RTSH continues to be a huge failure and a waste of money.
The head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, harshly criticized the Albanian Radio Television (RTSH) during the plenary session, where the draft resolution on the institution's activities was discussed.
Contrary to the parliamentary committee's position, Balla described RTSH as an institution that has failed to meet expectations, despite changes in leadership and efforts made over the years. He stated that "after so many years, RTSH remains a major failure, as it is not rising to the right level."
"RTSH continues to be a huge failure, a waste of money. Despite the extremely positive assessments of the Assembly, the television is not rising to the level we would all have wanted after so many years of efforts and changed directors," he said.
He also praised the work of the parliamentary committees that have exercised control over the institution, stating that their findings are objective and can help improve the situation. Regarding RTSH, he added that "there is no hope that this institution will become a reality."
"I very much hope that the findings of the two commissions, which are objective, and the parliamentary control will have effects. The parliamentary control will give us the appropriate assessments, but as a hopeful person that I am, I have no hope that RTSH will be created," declared Balla.
