Two officers were injured after clashes between protesters and blue uniforms at the protest near the Parliament.
One of the officers suffered minor injuries while the other policeman was bleeding. Protesters, meanwhile, threw eggs, tomatoes, and water bottles at the blue uniforms, breaking through the metal fence set up to guarantee the security perimeter.
An ambulance has arrived at the scene to transport the injured police officers to the hospital for medical assistance.
Meanwhile, dozens of citizens have been displaced, completely blocking the flow of vehicles on Elbasan Street, one of the main entrance and exit axes of the capital.
This movement immediately caused chaos and long traffic queues on all connecting roads in this area. During the blockade, there were also verbal clashes and direct tensions between the drivers of vehicles remaining in the blockade and the protesters. In order to prevent further escalation of incidents and to restore normality, State Police forces immediately intervened on the blocked axis.
