The Assembly is holding the last plenary session of this parliamentary session today.
The agenda includes a number of issues, while the main attention will be focused on the review of the annual reports of the justice institutions. The deputies will discuss the reports of the High Judicial Council, the High Prosecutorial Council, the General Prosecutor's Office, the High State Audit Office and the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
According to the agenda, the Assembly will also review draft resolutions for the evaluation of the activities of these institutions during 2025.
One of the most important points of the session is the SPAK activity report for 2025, for which a political debate is expected regarding the work of the anti-corruption structure and the results in the fight against organized crime. The draft resolution on SPAK will be presented by the Committee on Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight.
The session will also review the reports of the People's Advocate and the High Inspector of Justice. Interpellations and question-and-answer sessions with the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, requested by MPs Blendi Himçi, Bujar Leskaj and Erald Kapri, are also scheduled.
The agenda also includes several normative acts and draft laws, including the normative act for the partial financing of the organization of a cultural-tourism activity of international proportions, as well as legal initiatives affecting the economy, European societies, tourism, the Maritime Code, the State Police, the Armed Forces and industrial property.
Deputies will also vote on appointments to the Public Procurement Committee, while discussions on issues outside the agenda are scheduled at the end of the session.
The session is expected to be accompanied by political debates, especially during the review of reports from justice institutions and SPAK.
Meanwhile, a protest in front of Parliament has been announced for tomorrow. Organizers have announced that they will wish MPs "happy holidays," given that this is the last plenary session that closes the parliamentary session.
The last plenary session was characterized by strong clashes between the majority and the opposition regarding the agenda. The opposition refused to listen to the report of the People's Advocate, Endri Shabani, with the argument that it does not recognize his election, since he was voted only with the votes of the Socialist Party. After the debates, the session was interrupted at the proposal of the head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla.
