Opposition protests, Ilir Kulla: A tried and tested strategy has no effect

As the opposition prepares for the next protest on February 28 in front of the Prime Minister's Office, warning of another escalation of its action, security expert Ilir Kulla has expressed a highly critical stance towards this strategy, describing it as a failed and repeated attempt.

Asked about the effectiveness of the protests, the analyst responded with an old Sicilian expression: “Trying and retrying, it is useless to try, because the more you try, the worse you will find.” According to him, this method used by the opposition is not only not yielding results, but is worsening the situation for it.

Kulla emphasized that the main problem lies in the lack of a new narrative from the opposition. The constant attacks on SPAK and justice institutions, according to him, are distancing it from popular support.

Excerpt from the interview:

-In the last part we will stop at the fact that Saturday is the next one. I almost know your opinion, however, let me repeat it. The last long and violent protests of the opposition. The next one is the one on Saturday, February 28, at 6:00 PM in Tirana, in front of the Prime Minister's Office. What is your opinion on this action that is escalating? Even the leader of the Democrat Party, Berisha, warned of another escalation of the protests. So even the escalated ones don't work?

Ilir Kulla : Yes, I'll tell you in Italian.

-Yes, no, everyone who follows us should understand so...

Ilir Kulla : I'll say it in Italian, I'll translate it into Albanian. Learn that this is Sicilian.

-Okay, okay.

Ilir Kulla: Il provato e il reprovato, è inutile che lo provi, perché più lo provi, peggio lo trovi.

-Very clear.

Ilir Kulla : Tried and tested. It's useless to try, because the more you try, the worse you'll find it. If the DP, if the opposition doesn't change its narrative. If once every two weeks when that gentleman goes to SPAK, he comes out and speaks against SPAK and against the Special Court, he has to understand one thing. Even through his fault and the fault of these others in politics, at this moment, at this moment the millet is with SPAK. I don't want to see politics with my own eyes, left and right, green and blue, and others. It's come here. So, if these people don't change their narrative, they won't... they'll steal from you, they won't solve problems with this work. They've become extreme because people don't come out. If people come out, don't worry. The last rally here that all the people came out, they came out, it was full of socialists, I know I was there and I saw it with my own eyes, it was March 2.

-Is the boulevard crowded?

Ilir Kulla : Oh yeah. Okay, fine. They knocked it down.

-But is this escalation leading anywhere?

Ilir Kulla : Nothing, it just justifies Edi Rama's stay in power, saying, okay, I have all these negative things you say, but look who these people are.
