A real scandal has come to light today, as Transport Directorate officials were found to be involved in a car theft scheme.
The police arrested a citizen named Thanas Beko, after he managed to sell 3 rented cars, thanks to the help he received from the Directorate of Transport in Elbasan, which carried out all the procedures. For this reason, an employee of this department, identified as Iva Bodurri, was arrested. She is a lawyer and is accused of forging documents.
But Bledi Gonxhja is immediately on the attack, wanting to remove the responsibility from himself. The head of the Transport Directorate has "sold" the employee and even tries to justify himself by denying even the police statement.
" In the impossibility of knowing the acts, due to the holiday weekend, we clarify that today's news that the employee of the Elbasan region, with the initials IB, was "caught" in search, is not true. The person has just learned from online portals about Sunday's news, he immediately returned from his family trip and went himself to Elbasan Police Station where he is still waiting with the lawyer for the case to be communicated to him. In the absence of other details, we can clarify that on the part of the Elbasan regional directorate and any of our structures, we are open to any information and cooperation with investigative bodies, with system data and film footage. At the moment we can declare that the other suspect, the employee with the initials RL, turns out to have acted privately, without any access to the vehicle ownership change service, because he does not work in that sector, so not under the conditions of abuse of office! This person was with a permit and in the capacity of a private person was presented to receive service. Two of the alluded cases are related to notarized practices, i.e. outside our service, while the third case is related to suspected criminal liability of the seller without proper authorization. For the three suspected cases, as far as the service chain, RBS, the procedure of the Elbasan region is concerned, it turns out that there is no violation of the integrity of the operating system! Every action is traceable, every record is recorded in the database, every incorrect document or self-declaration is personal responsibility! The suspected cases, so far, do not involve forgery or alienation within the entity ", says the Directorate of Road Transport.
But what does the police say: " The 30-year-old employee of DRSHTRR Elbasan was arrested and detained yesterday, as part of the "Fraud" operation, for abuse of office and falsification of documents.
Yesterday, during this operation, the police arrested a 37-year-old man and announced another search for employees of DRSHTRR Elbasan, who cooperated to sell, contrary to the law, 3 rented vehicles, which had their GPS removed.
As a result of the research carried out within the "Rule of Law" operation, for the capture of the citizens declared wanted yesterday, after the organization of the coded police operation "Fraud", the specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of DVP Elbasan caught and detained the citizen declared wanted IB, 30 years old, resident in Elbasan, with legal duties at DRSHTRR Elbasan, for the criminal offenses "Abuse of duty" and "Forgery of documents", committed in cooperation.
From the investigations, it is suspected that the 30-year-old woman abused her duty, by forging contracts for the ownership of 3 rented vehicles, which were sold in violation of the law, by citizens Th. B. and RL (Th. B., arrested yesterday; RL an employee of DPSHTRR Elbasan, still wanted), after their GPS was taken away.
During the operation, 3 vehicles were seized, while the work continues to capture the citizen R.L ".
