Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço announced that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has gifted leaders participating in the NATO Summit in Ankara a personalized pistol with each person's name, along with ammunition.
According to Karamuço, such a gift was also given to Prime Minister Edi Rama, while adding that it remains to be seen how its transportation to Albania will be processed, due to the rules related to firearms and ammunition.
"Today, one of the things that Ankara promoted are the gifts that were given to the leaders when they left, they are pistols. President Erdogan distributed to the world leaders a pistol personalized with their names and with real bullets. I don't know the message, because I'm not from the field, I can't give the political message. They are very elite products, real combat firearms, Çanik, with real bullets, put in a small suitcase personalized with the name of each leader. Our prime minister also received one.
"I don't know if he will bring it to Albania or not, because there are some laws on how this works in international legislation. The bullets are part of the set. For example, the British Prime Minister has refused to take it with him, he has left it at the embassy to respect the laws on firearms, but he will take it another way," Karamuço said on the "Now" show on "EuronewsAlbania".
