The Greek Foreign Ministry has reacted to today's attack on Fredi Beleri. The Greek MEP was welcomed in Tirana with eggs and yogurt, while the door was closed by Prime Minister Rama.

The Greek Foreign Ministry accuses the Albanian authorities of not having taken the appropriate measures to guarantee the safety of the MEPs.

" We condemn the insults to the Greek MEP Freddy Beleris, during the visit of the delegation of the European Parliament to Tirana, to check Albania's membership process. The Albanian authorities must take the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of MEPs and the freedom to carry out their work without obstacles. The MEPs represent the interests of the citizens of the European Union and should enjoy due respect ", says the Greek Foreign Ministry.

Meanwhile, Fredi Beleri has undoubtedly been on the front page of the Greek media. All of them have made a stir about his visit to Tirana and the incidents that happened. According to them, Rama canceled in the last minutes the meeting with the group of Eurodeputies and this because of Beler.

" For the first time in the annals of his country, Rama refused to welcome a delegation of MEPs. A committee, in fact, whose responsibility is to check whether Albania meets the conditions to join the European Union.

Of course, the "bites" that Edi Rama reserved for the New Democracy MEP did not stop there. In particular, as reported by sources close to Mr. Beleris, when he tried to enter the Albanian Parliament, as part of the official visit of the European Parliament delegation, the envoys... did not open the door for him!

At the same time, Fredi Beleris did not receive a warm welcome even in the streets of Tirana, who was verbally attacked by a citizen while he was going to the parliament ", write the Greek media.

Some others have also made a biography of the protester who attacked Beleri, stating that he is a regular protester, who has raised his voice against both the government and the opposition. / Pamphlet
