Prime Minister Edi Rama has started the week with a response to those he considers his opponents, while choosing the verses of Dritëro Agolli, which, despite being published 32 years ago, are still considered relevant today.
The Prime Minister's reaction comes as the 37th consecutive protest will be held today, while since May 31, thousands of citizens have been demanding his resignation.
The protests, which in some cases have been accompanied by sporadic incidents, demand the removal of Edi Rama as Prime Minister, while the protesters have floated the idea of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate to prepare for new parliamentary elections.
Edi Rama has stated that he has no intention of resigning and will see to the end the contract he has with over 800,000 Albanians, who supported him in the elections of May 11, 2025.
To respond to those he considers his opponents, Rama has published on social networks, verses by Dritëro Agolli, published in 1994, entitled "To My Opponents".
This is not the first time that the Prime Minister has criticized protesting citizens on social media.
"Good morning and with this beautiful, current poem by Dritëroi, I wish you a good week," Rama writes.

You are throwing so much mud on me,
That in the mud that I have on my body,
A pear or a quince could sprout,
A large grove of oak trees.
You can keep in the grove and wood,
