The experts of the Institute of Geosciences IGJEO predict that today in the Southeast of the country at heights above 300 m above sea level the precipitation will be in the form of snow.
Tomorrow, on 21.01.2023, it is predicted that the rain will stop, but strong frosts are expected, mainly in the mountainous areas.
Shkodër:
In the axes of Lot 1, H.Hotit-Tamarë, Tamarë-Vermosh and Bogë-Theth, there was snowfall during the night that continues even now, accompanied by strong winds.
Machinery and workers are working to clear the snow and keep the roads open.
Caution should be exercised in traffic as visibility is hampered by wind gusts and blowing snow.

In the District of Elbasan, as a result of the prevailing weather with heavy rains, strong winds, storms and snow in the deep mountainous areas, various problematic situations have been created.
Starting at midnight, due to the atmospheric conditions, serious problems and difficulties have been created in the circulation of vehicles on some segments of the national road from Elbasan to Qafë-Thane.
According to official sources, after 00:10 and onward in some segments, there is a continuous fall of massive earth and stones in "Murrashi Bends, "Dragostunja Bends" and "Qafë Thana Bends".
Kruje
The heavy rains that started last evening have caused that the Ishëm and Zeze rivers, which have their source in the highlands of Kruja and Tirana and which cross the lowlands of the Kruja district and flow into the sea, have suffered a significant swelling.
The water level has risen significantly, but fortunately they do not pose any problems until now.
The rains continue with moderate intensity and if they continue at this rate in the following hours, the situation may worsen significantly, risking flooding in some villages that are at risk.
In the mountains of Kruja, there are reports of storms and heavy rains which have caused landslides in some places. However, so far the roads are all passable.
