For the week ahead, our country will be affected by mostly stable weather conditions due to cold and relatively dry air masses.
This situation comes as a result of the circulation for several days of a low pressure center mainly over the Balkan region.
However, for today, a cold front is expected to pass over our country accompanied by wet and cold air masses.
The weather is forecasted with medium and dense clouds and rain of medium intensity for most of the day in most of the territory.
In the area of the Alps, northeast and southeast at altitudes above 600-700 meters, snowfall with average intensity, while locally and in the high mountain reliefs, heavy snowfall. During the afternoon hours in the northern and southern areas, the snowfall descends to the hilly heights but with low intensity.
Then, starting from Tuesday and ending on Friday, a post-frontal situation is expected and the stationary circulation of a low pressure center accompanied by cold and dry air masses.
The weather is forecast along the western lowlands with clearings and alternating medium and occasional to heavy clouds. While in the mountainous reliefs in the east, the weather will be mostly cloudy, but there will be intervals with clear skies.
