The Tirana Prosecution Office has ordered the seizure of two apartments and a garage owned by the citizen with the initials AA, who has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking.
The decision was taken within the framework of a property proceeding, after investigations revealed that the income declared by AA and his family members was not sufficient to justify the investments made in movable and immovable property.
According to the Prosecution, the accounting expertise has found a significant discrepancy between the assets owned and the legal financial sources, creating reasonable suspicion that these assets were obtained through criminal activity.
At the conclusion of the investigations, the seizure of a 1+1 apartment with an area of 66.33 m² and a veranda of 44 m², located in a complex on "Xhanfize Keko" street, as well as a 2+1 apartment with an area of 87.9 m² and a garage of 16 m² , located in a complex under construction on "Kahreman Ylli" street, was ordered.

Two apartments, respectively 1+1 and 2+1 and a garage, were seized at the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, within the framework of property proceedings no. 02, of 2026 against citizen AA, sentenced to 10 years in prison for the criminal offense of 'Trafficking in narcotics'.
The investigations revealed that the verified income of citizen AA and his family members is not sufficient to cover personal expenses and investments made in movable and immovable property. The citizen in question was financially unable to make investments in property.
From the conclusions reached in the act of accounting expertise and from the administered documentation, it results that the assets identified and owned by the subjects of this property proceeding meet the criteria provided for by articles 11 and 24 of law no. 10192, dated 03.12.2009, for their sequestration and/or confiscation, as it is found that there is a significant disproportion between the identified assets and the declared legal income, which are not sufficient to justify them.
From the above, taking into account the results of the property investigation conducted in relation to citizen AA and his relatives, it is proven that this citizen has been involved in the criminal activity of “Trafficking in narcotics”, provided for by article 283/ai of the Criminal Code, a criminal offense which is part of the offenses provided for by law no. 10192. It results from this activity that disproportionate assets have been created in relation to the level of income or profits from the declared legal activities, which are not justified by them. For this reason, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, seized the following assets:
a. Real estate of the type "Apartment" 1+1, with a surface area of 66.33 m², as well as a veranda with a surface area of 44 m², in the multifunctional complex on "Xhanfize Keko" Street; and
b. Real estate of the type 2+1 apartment, with an area of 87.9 m² and a garage with an area of 16 m², on the -2nd floor, in the multifunctional complex that is being built on “Kahreman Ylli” Street.
