Bad weather and heavy rains have caused flooding in Maliq of Korça.
So far, problems have been reported on the main and secondary roads of the village of Zęblak. As a result of the exit from the bed of the streams in the village, the water has flooded not only on the road but also penetrated into some of the houses in the village.
In his speech, the mayor Maliq Gëzim Topçiu has shown that the situation is under control, while noting that he is intervening to open the internal roads of the village, then the affected houses will be seen.
Concerned residents have shown the great damages that have been caused to them, stating that water has entered the apartments, some of those residents have had a part of their apartment (surrounding walls) collapse, while appealing for help. Civil emergencies are intervening tirelessly to normalize the situation.
"We still don't understand anything, heavy rains have caused all the streams of the mountain to come out. We don't know the situation yet, we hope there will be no damage to animals, we don't ever think about it in people, because the situation is under control, but we say that there will be material damage, water can get into the house.
We still cannot give an accurate information, we are introducing the tools to clear the roads. They were endangered, they are worried about the living thing. Such a situation has never been seen. In Zęblak, we are together with Civil Emergencies, we hope to stabilize the situation as soon as possible", said the mayor.
