The Librazhd-Prrenjas road axis has returned to function for vehicle traffic after recent interventions on the ground.
The Albanian Road Authority announces that the temporary segment was initially paved with compacted gravel. This solution allows the passage of all types of vehicles, including heavy-duty vehicles.
According to the institution, during the first ten days or so, the road will go through a consolidation phase. Stabilization is expected to be achieved through natural compaction of the layer and the movement of vehicles over this segment.
After the end of this period, the asphalting process will begin. The intervention aims to turn the segment into a standardized and fully functional axis.
This segment connects Tirana with the southeastern area of the country and serves as an important corridor for the movement of citizens and the transport of goods.
The return of traffic on this axis is expected to facilitate movement and economic activity in the area after the temporary interruption of traffic.
