Meteorologist Lajda Porja said that this last week of August, although it started with clouds that occasionally brought somewhat cooler weather, will gradually improve, thus returning to heat waves.
"This week has started with clouds and little precipitation, mainly in the north. The south has no precipitation. Meanwhile, from Wednesday to Friday, there will be an improvement in the weather and a predominance of sunshine. The minimums today are 11-12 degrees and the maximums are 28-30 degrees in many cities.
"From Wednesday we expect to have a reactivation of heat waves, mainly in the suburbs. Also, Thursday and Friday will peak with temperatures of 38-39 degrees. So we will have a significant increase in temperatures in all major cities of Albania," said Porja.
Meteorology predicts that on Saturday and Sunday we will be dealing with weather fluctuations, with the presence of both precipitation, although slight, but also sunshine.
"The weekend is expected to bring back thunderstorms and windstorms, with the south again being less vulnerable. On Sunday, the weather will recover and improve significantly."
Porja also made a prediction regarding the month of September that awaits us, emphasizing that even though we are entering an autumn month, high temperatures and hot weather will be present.
"Regarding the beginning of September, it will start with high temperatures in the first week of September. From time to time there will be wind storms but then sunshine again. There will not be a 10-day period under the dominance of sun or rain. September is predicted to record quite high temperatures almost throughout the month. Even though on September 1 we officially entered the autumn season, summer will also begin throughout September," said the meteorology.
