In the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime, the next hearing on the case of Jan Prenga's kidnapping and disappearance was held this Wednesday, where the victim's two brothers testified.
Anton Prenga, one of Jan Prenga's brothers, said that after being informed that Jan had been taken hostage, he contacted his other brother Astrit, who told him that they had stolen 60 kilos of cocaine at a port outside London, which he said they were not aware that it belonged to some Albanians.
He said that they had returned the merchandise with the promise that his brother would be released, which never happened.

I received a call from my brother's daughter-in-law that Jani has been taken hostage. I received 2-3 such calls, but I could not open them because I was in a business meeting. Then I found out that my brother was taken hostage. I was contacted by my brother Astriti and I told him what happened because I didn't know anything at all. They told me we took 60 kilos of drugs. I knew about 60. We have no connection with the Albanians, but only with the English. Okay, I cut the ticket and came here. The next day, the state, the police of Albania came and interrogated me. I didn't know anything. They told me that Gentjan Doçi, Gent Bleta appeared on stage... We went to Gent Doçi's house and drank coffee. Gent's father told me I will try to communicate with the boy and he did not answer me back. I was in London, at work, when the incident happened. When my phone rang I was handing in an assignment. I found out at 13.00, make no mistake. I didn't open the phone and I wrote to my wife, you said try to contact me because I can't open the phone.
My brother's daughter-in-law was calling me. Maria is Doda's daughter-in-law. Doda is known as Jan Prenga. I found out that Jan was taken hostage in Kamez. I have contacted Astrit and Gezimi Shullani. I called Astrit, he told me that he didn't know anything. Astriti told me we received goods at a port outside London. Gent Docci, Bee, Chestnut... these had come on stage saying "It's mine". When they took it, they told me to bring the merchandise because it is ours. We didn't know who to give it to because there were many people who wanted it. This was the reason for the kidnapping of Jan Prenga, because we had nothing else. Astrit expressed himself and began to tell me himself. He started to explain to me with Gezimi and I said how is this possible because we have no connection with the Albanians. Here we took the English, these others came back. Astriti and Gezimi were called by Gentjan Doçi, Korado Gështenja. They probably communicated a week or two ago together, before they told me. I don't know that. I had another problem and another problem. Their brother told them that I don't know you, while they said that it is their longing. I had more trouble than Astrit. Ndrekë Prenga was in prison when I met Astrit, he was in a London prison. My brother did not call me from prison, neither did I when I came to Albania. When I met with Astrit and Gëzim Shullani, I asked them the reason why my brother was taken hostage. They were friends together. I told them return the things, they said yes, we will return them. I wanted to come to Albania and sometimes I talked to Astrit, sometimes not because his phone was turned off. I asked the police about my brother, they didn't tell me anything. I received no information from the police. When the goods were returned, the body did not come to us. The moment the longing returned and the brother did not come, then they lost hope. The goods have returned, I was in Albania. I heard on TV about a complex in Shijak. I don't know anything anymore. The state did not give me any information, what I learned, I learned from the TV. To my knowledge within a week the longing returned. I haven't had any calls from anyone about this job. I have not met Gëzim Shullan. I rarely meet Astrit. We discussed everything. He told me that we returned it, some Poles took it. I'm looking for my brother, oh dead or whatever I'm looking for my brother. They had the right to return the item, as received.
