
The journalist who denounced the role of mayor Erion Veliaj in Tirana's incinerator, Ola Xama, considered yesterday's decision to seize the capital's incinerator as "the most important event of the year".
Through a post on social networks, the journalist emphasizes that with the sequestration of the burners, Albanians will save 15 million euros that were spent on the bosses of the incinerators.
"From today, Albanians will be saved at least 15 million euros per year that were taken by some people who are wanted by justice. 13 million euros were paid by the municipality of Tirana and 2 more from Durrës and Kavaja. "Several million euros are being saved for private operators who were forced to deposit waste in this landfill ," she writes.
Furthermore, it has also stung the media that were financed by the bosses of the incinerators.
"Even the source of money that financed some media outlets that insulted and declared anyone who spoke for the public interest as an enemy is already being cut," the journalist added.
We remind you that yesterday, the Special Prosecutor's Office seized Tirana's incinerator "Integrated Energy".
According to SPAK, Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri are the "de facto" owners of the "Integrated Energy" company, with the investment cost provided for in the concession contract in the amount of over 128 million euros.
Also, the two businessmen are the "de facto" owners of its parent company, established in the Netherlands, "Integrated Energy BV", later changed to "Geogenix BV".
