Many did not expect Russia to attack Ukraine, but the war is now in its second year. And, Russia's satellite in the Balkans is Serbia, which recently moved its military troops near the border.
For the democratic deputy, Tomor Alizoti, just like with Russia, the internationals and Albania itself are being negligent.
Invited to the show "Ditari", on "A2CNN", Alizoti said on Friday evening that the incident in Banjska showed that Serbia was ready for a war scenario and pretext.
" They were elite troops very heavily armed, to create a scenario that would produce war. The Serbian army, according to them, should intervene to protect the Serbian people. This makes Serbia more dangerous ", he said.
After the war with Kosovo and NATO's intervention, Serbia, as Alizoti said, did not have any kind of reflection, and today sees itself as a victim. And rearmament is a way, from the Serbs' point of view, to regain "their rights."
"The EU has terribly neglected Serbia," Alizoti declared, adding that in his opinion, the EU is a big bureaucratic power, not efficient at all.
The solution to the situation in Kosovo would be for it to join NATO. Alizoti criticized Prime Minister Albin Kurti's recent behavior with internationals as appropriate, but added that some kind of restraint would be needed.
"Kurti is trying to set the borders of Kosovo. The Americans want a stabilized Balkans. There is a kind of clash between the rights of Kosovo and Kurti... Kurti has won all the political battles. You have to be a little more careful with the Americans because you can't win every battle ," he concluded.
